The Jazz Players Big Band (5 & Dime far left) closing the show at the Woody Herman Memorial Tribute in the Grand Ballroom of the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee a few days after Woody passed in 1987. The Mayor declared it "Woody Herman Day" for the famous Milwaukee native. (The clarinet music stands were Woody's own and many of his alumni performed that day also).

5 & Dime had a Jazz duo with Chicago trumpet player Ken Cooper for a few years. In Blues, Cooper is known for his work with Son Seals and is heard on Seals' Chicago Fire album on Alligator Records.
